The Ruger American Rimfire is designed for precision and adaptability, making it an excellent .17 HMR bolt-action rifle for shooters who demand accuracy from a lightweight rimfire platform. The cold hammer-forged threaded barrel delivers exceptional consistency and durability, while the patented Power Bedding system securely positions the receiver and free-floats the barrel to promote reliable shot placement. A factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base allows quick and secure mounting of optics.
This rifle features Ruger’s Marksman Adjustable trigger with a pull weight that can be tuned between three and five pounds for a crisp, predictable break. The lightweight synthetic stock provides comfortable handling with modern forend contouring and grip serrations, while interchangeable stock modules allow fast comb height adjustments for optic use. A 60° bolt throw offers generous scope clearance, and the extended magazine release allows smooth removal of the flush-mounted rotary magazine.
